CAMP SMILE A MILE!!

I was so blessed to be a part of Camp Smile A Mile [ www.campsam.org ]  Camp Smile A Mile is a camp that is dedicated to kids that have cancer.  The camp is unbelievable everything from a circus, to all sorts of activities and sports.  We are going to put together a DVD and some coffee table books for the organization.  Please consider donating to CAMPSAM or giving your time, talents, to help this wonderful organization.

Family Vacation

Our Family spent the week on beautiful Smith Lake in Alabama this past week.  We stayed in a custom built home right on a point [see their work at www.cranebuilders.com]  We were so blessed to stay in such a great house to just be together as a family.  Here are a couple pictures I took over the week.

The Watterson Family holds a special place in my heart.  It has been amazing watching their family grow.  This last summer I was able to spend a lot of time with them and I cherished every minute of it.  I am secretly trying to arrange the marriages of my nephews and nieces with their kids even though they have a ways to go till that point it doesn't hurt starting early.  It was such a blast to see them when i was in Michigan.  Best wishes Watterson's.

Introducing Grace Elizabeth

I have the honor of introducing my newest niece Grace Elizabeth.  I am currently in Michigan visiting the family and loving on Grace and my other nieces and nephews.  My niece Marina who is on previous post is being dedicated tomorrow.  We are so excited to have this new addition she is such a great baby and so gosh darn cute.

Congratulations Chris!  Chris is going to attend Auburn University in the fall and got some major scholarships.  We first met the family when we arrived in Tuscaloosa and they have been so welcoming.  We got a couple of good family shots during the shoot as well.  Best wishes to you next year Chris.

Two Great Organizations

The main reason I got involved with photography was to give back and create visual memories for people.  I have been looking for organizations that I could partner with for a couple months now and I have found them.  I couldn't be more honored, excited, and looking forward to working with these great organizations that truly give back in huge ways.  

Camp Smile A Mile is an organization that provides events, and a camp for children with cancer.  It is hard to put into words how many lives they touch in special ways - to get a better idea of what they do go to www.campsam.org and watch the video on the home page.  I will be doing two camps and a family weekend.  I can't wait!

The second organization is Now I Lay Me Down To Sleep.  They are a non-profit organization that uses local photographers to capture visual memories for families who are dealing with early infant loss, and premature child birth.

Glory is one of the cutest babies ever. We did a mini photo shoot while at McRae's farm and I wish we could have extended it for a lot longer. She was so content and just adorable. Melissa and I almost caught the baby fever having her around. Blessings on you Glory.
